A little catching up

We were lucky to be able to go home for Thanksgiving again this year. I do love Christians benefits! We had a great visit with both our families and got to spend a lot of time with them. I didn't take hardly any pictures. Surprising! We ate with my family early and spent the rest of the evening with Christians family. Addy had a blast with her cousins! They ran around wild all night. Being home makes me really miss living near everyone.

Last weekend was our ward Christmas breakfast. Santa and Mrs. Claus came for a visit. This was Addy's first time sitting on Santa's lap. We talked to her all morning about how nice Santa is and that he gives you candy. She was excited! Chris waited in the long line with Ella and Nate and Erin and I waited to snap some shots of the kids.

This is what happened when it was Addy's turn. She was so scared!

Mrs. Claus showed Addy the candy cane she was about to get and she was all smiles.
Whenever we bring up Santa now she says "Santa nice!"

We finally put up our Christmas tree. I really enjoyed doing this as a family this year. Addy loved all the ball ornaments. She was really into the decorating in the beginning, but by the time the night was over she was throwing the ornaments all around.

A Little Early....

We put up our Christmas tree tonight! Yea! I know it seems a little early, but I wanted to enjoy my tree for a week before I head home for the holidays.

Here are some of my lovely ornaments. Thank you Tai Pan! I forgot how much I love them all! We didn't get to put our tree up last year because we moved the day after Christmas. So it was very exciting for me to unwrap everything.

I did get the tree fully decorated but I'm missing my spiral twigs. So I need to go pick some up tomorrow. This is going to be hard keeping my little sugar away from the tree. She screams and points at the ball ornaments and wants to play with them. I will have to replace the glass with plastic for sure!

It wasn't the same decorating my tree without you Alice! I can't wait for you girls to put your tree up. It's time!
