Thanksgiving 2010

My family had a great Thanksgiving! We were able to go home and spend time with our families. This was the first year all of Christians siblings were together since we have been married. Aimee and John hosted a fabulous dinner at their home. They have plenty of room for our big family. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed everyones company. The kids had fun running around and playing with each other. They put on a play for us and Addy was an Indian and Benson was a rock.

Benson had his first taste of pumpkin pie. He loved it! He kept growling for more.

For family night we met up with some of Christians family to go bowling and play at the fun center. The older kids all played in a fun bounce house. Addy was too scared to try it out. She bowled with papa Dave, Christian, and Brock.

My mom and Andrea came to the movies with my kids and I to see Tangled. Addy wore her princess costume and brought along one of Andreas stuffed animals. It was so fun to see how happy she was. This was her first movie as a "big girl". She sat in her seat the entire show. She kept saying " I am so excited! This is so much fun!" Tangled was such a cute movie. One of my favorites for sure!

After the movie we shopped for a bit and Andrea took her on a train ride around the mall. Yes I was the crazy mom taking pictures of them as they passed us by. This day was one of the best parts of our trip for Addy!

Nanny Elaine took my kids and I to meet Allyson and Brooke at the festival of the trees. I have a lot of memories of going here as a child. I love looking at all the pretty ornaments and fancy trees. My favorite this year was a red and green tree. It breaks my heart to read the stories and to see trees that are not purchased. But it's still a very fun place to go.

Addy only made it half way through before she was tired. So she and my mom went and watched this senior clogging group. Addy loved watching them dance! I became addicted to fudge this night. I have eaten it plenty of times in my life but have never enjoyed it as much as I did this night! It was seriously AMAZING! Benson had his first taste of the goodness as well. He loved it too!

My family had a birthday party for me at my sister Allyson's house. We had a yummy breakfast and cheesecake for dessert. Everyone was so sweet with the gifts they gave me. I have the best family ever! Allyson had a necklace made for me with my kids names engraved on it. I love it!

After the party Brooke and Allyson helped Addy make a gingerbread house. She had so much fun! She plastered the candy EVERYWHERE! She was so proud of her house. It turned out pretty cute! Addy couldn't resist and helped Brooke make her house.

My mom was going through a few things from when I was little and found all of our old dance costumes. I remember wearing almost all of them! Addy was so excited to try one on. She danced around the whole night. She has been really liking to dance lately. She has been begging me to get her into a class ever since we went to her cousins dance performance. Addy has some silly dance moves and I love to laugh and watch her dance!

We had such a great trip home! We enjoyed all the time we got to spend with everyone.
Here are a few more highlights that I enjoyed:

-nights spent staying up way to late chatting and doing hair
-eating at Cafe Rio many times
-shopping with my mom
-making treats and sewing with Andrea
-pulling an all nighter on black Friday
-spending time with Christian
