Christian and I had so much fun on our quick trip to Chicago. It is such a nice city! Nothing what I expected it to be. I thought for sure it was going to be really scary and dirty. It was the exact opposite. I am sure it has it's scary places but for the most part it's a business district. It's different to see the busy streets in the morning with everyone walking to work.
There are so many great places to SHOP and to eat. I could definitely go broke there! They have so many beautiful churches and historical buildings. ( I did not see one LDS church.) We were minutes away from Lake Michigan. So Beautiful! It looks like the ocean. There is a walk way that runs the shore and onto the Navy Pier. We walked around the pier in the crazy wind. Christian insisted on taking a picture of my lovely hair-do. I hate the wind!!
My surprise of the trip was tickets to go see "Wicked" at The Ford Theatre. It was my very first Broadway play. I loved it! The music was so fun and I loved the characters of the witches. I definitely recommend seeing it if you ever get the chance.
It will be an adventure for us. I was hoping to get pregnant next summer but I might hold off a little longer if I am away from our families. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
If we do go.... we would love all the visitors we can get!!!

I'm glad you liked it! The city and Wicked. ;)
You'll have to get Alice to go with us when it comes to SLC! :)
How fun to completely change your lifestyle midstream! Not many get that opportunity. :) I look forward to really cool pictures.
Ashley...I hate that you might be leaving. But I am excited for you two--especially Chrissy's career opportunity. It will feel like a new version of "home" in no time. Plus, Chicago is a totally cool spot to go visit. :)
And for the record, Alice DOES want to see Wicked, even before this post she did. So THERE, sister Chaos! :P
And honey, get over that hatred of wind. They don't call it "The Windy City" for nothin'.
I am glad you guys had fun. I like all your pictures too.
I still don't want you to move, but I am trying to have a better attitude about it.
What a fun adventure this could be Ash!! I know you would be nervous about the move but how exciting!! And it would be a good thing to be able to walk or ride your bike everywhere with the prices of gas.
Jellybean is getting so big, she is super cute!!
I hear Chicago is one of the best big cities in America.
As for not seeing any LDS churches it is because they are usually in neighborhoods and in the city they are sometimes in office buildings. I love all the pretty churches of other faiths that we have around here and in San Antonio.
It will be hard to leave home at first but Rookie is right it will be home in no time.
