My eventful weekend....

We had a very busy, stressful, but fun weekend!
Friday Christian left to go out of town. It was -18 degrees outside, so Jellybean and I were stuck in the house for yet another day. I was getting a little stir crazy so I decided to make new pillows for our sectional. I got all the fabric from JoAnn's earlier in the week. I ended up making five pillows while Jellybean was taking her nap. I still need to make a few more before the project is finished, but I love how they turned out.

It was 20 degrees on Sat, so I was taking full advantage of the warm up and getting out of the house. I got Jellybean ready and turned on a little show in my bedroom to keep her busy while I went to get our things together. I ran down stairs to the garage to warm up the car and when I went to come back inside the door was locked. The only key we have was with Christian in a different state. I kept trying the door thinking it maybe was just stuck. I never lock this door.
Instantly I started to panic. My baby was upstairs alone probably crawling all over the place. I couldn't remember if I shut the gate on the stairs. I started to cry and bang on the door. As if that would help. I called Christian to see what to do. He wanted me to see if I could pry the door open with a crowbar. Didn't work. He said " hit the door knob as hard as you can", didn't work either. I started to cry even harder.
I went to my next door neighbor Tracy's house hoping her husband was home to help me. I couldn't even talk when she answered the door. He was out of town also. So she called 411 to see how long a lock smith would take. None in our area. (what?) She called the fire department to see what we should do and got an answering machine. Good thing there wasn't a fire! Tracy decided we should just call 911. I was so embarrassed but I needed to get to my baby. There was a cop within 3 min of my house. He got the door open with a screw driver, a credit card, and the crowbar. As soon as the door was open both the cop and I went in the house and Jellybean was sitting at the top of the stairs with her shoes and socks off and her bow in her hand. She had a big smile on her face and just kept saying mom over and over again. She was in there alone for around 20 min. Luckily I did shut the gate! I have never felt so happy to be with my baby.
( We now have three keys so hopefully this won't happen again)
All I wanted to do is go to Target to get Jellybean a new toy and a hat for me. Too much drama to leave the house! Thank you Mr. Officer!

This is the damage to the garage door. Not to bad considering I hit it as hard as I could over and over again.

My weekend was so much better when Christian came home Monday morning. It felt so good to have him home. He was off work because of the holiday so we got to spend the whole day together as a family. Something we haven't done in a long time.

We went downtown and had lunch at Jimmy John's. It was so delicious! Of course Jellybean's favorite was the dessert! It was such a fun lunch date.

We had to walk a little ways but luckily it was close to 20 degrees and the sun was shining.

After lunch we went to Wolf Camera. I finally got my new camera! I will have to tell you about that later. :)

Last but not least, my digital class started last night. This is the layout I made.

I am so happy for a new week!

15 Months

My little Jellybean is 15 months old! These months are starting to fly by lately. She is still such a sweet spunky little thing. Here are a few more things about her....
-She weighs 19 lbs
-She is wearing mostly 18 month clothing
-She takes 1 nap a day ( we are completely off schedule!)
-She no longer is eating any baby food
-She loves to feed herself
-She dances when she likes what she is eating
-She finally will drink milk (thanks to Aunt Andy)
-She has 2 bottom teeth
-She loves to play with toys! She is very obsessed with grandma's ball popper
-She is walking around all the furniture.
-She mastered going up the stairs
-She puts EVERYTHING in her mouth, DISGUSTING!
- Bath time is one of her favorites
-She loves lotion
-She loves to play in her bedroom
This girl is so busy and gets into everything! (Whats new!) It is so amazing to me how much more she is understanding and trying to communicate with us. She jabbers at you trying to have a conversation. When I can figure out what it is she wants, she gives me a big grin and says "yeah"! It is so funny. Chris and I are having so much fun with her. We look forward to each new stage.
We love you so much!

Now for a little catching up! Dec. 29
My Mom's side of the family went bowling for our Christmas party this year. It was a blast! For some reason I was not playing well. I think with two games combined I only scored in the 120's. I always break 100 in one game. I think I was too busy socializing with cousins, eating, and keeping Jellybean entertained that my game was just not on. We all had a great time!
This was the first time I put all of Jellybeans hair in pig tales. It made her look so grown up! She looked adorable!

New Years Eve
We had a little party at my parents house. It was a lot of fun! Of course my Mom made a bunch of yummy party food. We had shrimp, teriyaki meatballs, pigs in a blanket, chicken in bread crumbs, a veggie tray, and lots of treats! We played Rock Band, Boulder Dash, and Would You Rather. We had so many laughs! Of course after 1:00 things get a little more crazy. I haven't laughed that hard in awhile! Thanks for the fun night guys.
Notice that almost every picture of Jellybean she is eating. That girl ate all night long! She pulled herself up to the table and grabbed a candy cane and in the other hand she got herself a piece of chicken. She also had pigs in a blanket for the first time. She ate three!

Wow what a month!

We are finally home from our Holiday vacation. We had such a fun time spending the days with family and friends. I was sad to leave but ready to be back in my own house. We brought home 6 suit cases full plus we each had a bag with us on the plane.( I only took 3 with us!) It is so hard to be gone that long and really know what to plan on.
I have so much to catch up on. Here we go....
I turned 25 a couple weeks ago. Christian took me to a little surprise dinner at Kobe. I had no idea! I thought the two of us were going out for a nice romantic dinner alone. There was a whole room full waiting for us. It was such a great surprise. Christian and my little sister set everything up. My sister got into my phone to get a few numbers while I was taking a nap. I was so surprised they kept it from me. I loved it!

Thanks everyone for coming to celebrate with us! I really enjoyed being able to see you all. Dinner was delicious!

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with Christian's family. My mother in law always does a fancy dinner, we play games, and watch a play put on by the grand kids.

Check out the layered jello. Isn't it so cute!!!

Madison and Hayden had the costumes picked out for our play. Hayden was Joseph, Savy was Mary, Grady was baby Jesus, Madison, Grandma, and Jellybean were The 3 Wise men, and Cohen was a shark. ( What a cutie!) Grandpa read from the Bible as the kids acted the story out. It's was fun to see how excited they were to play their parts. Last year Christian was the donkey. Where were you at babe?

Christmas Day

We went to my parents house Christmas morning for a yummy breakfast. My mom always makes us a big feast.

Andrea helped Jellybean open all her presents as the rest of us video taped and snapped pictures. She was so funny when she opened her clothes. She loved to try everything out on her head.

Thank you to both our families! We loved being home spending the time with you. Thanks also for letting us live at your houses! We miss waking up and having you there. I hope to be back home to see you all again in March!
I still have more to catch up on but that will have to wait!
