Viva Las Vegas

On Saturday Christan and I flew to Vegas to meet up with Shanda and Tyler and his brother and girlfriend. It was the first time I have left Jellybean over night. Luckily my sister Alice was more than willing to come stay with her. It was really hard for me to leave her but the time with Christian was definitely needed! We had so much fun! Here are a few pics at the race way.

It was very windy... I look bad!

The boys were gearing up to race. The cars go 75 mph! They got to go around the track 2 laps to try and get the fastest time. I laughed so hard watching Chris. His whole body would shake when he would cut the corners sharp. He looked so silly! I am glad they had fun!

Shanda couldn't ride since she is pregnant so we just watched our husbands and laughed.

This is Christian trying to pass a kid on another track. He started at the back and ended up fighting his way to the first. There was a couple of older men on the track that Christian was trying to get in front of. They would bump each other trying not to let the other one pass. With his mad driving skills he passed them up.

It's so funny to see all these men acting like little boys again!

Later that day we went to Mandalay Bay to the Shark Reef and to Sushi for dinner. Dinner was so YUMMY!

Alice and the Rookie took Jellybean to the park while we were gone. They met up with Chaos and her kids for a fun afternoon. Isn't she so cute!

Love Is In The Air...

Yesterday my cousin Steve married Natalie at the SLC Temple. It was such a cold wet day! Luckily it stopped raining for pictures! Her flowers were so beautiful!

Baby Food

I started feeding Jellybean baby food this last week. She still does not like rice cereal. I decided to skip that and move on to the fruit and veggies. I gave her bananas very first. She did not like them at all! I heard a lot of babies like sweet potatoes so we tried some next. She loves them!

For some reason I can't keep it off her nose!

The only bad thing about that is, her spit up is orange and she had a massive orange blow out! I just purchased her some new white undershirts and 3 of the 5 are ruined! I am still trying to get them back to white!

BYU

Go BYU!

This last Saturday we went down to the BYU scrimmage game with Christian's family. The weather was so nice! We had a fun day playing with Jellybean's cousins.

Hayden and Weston love to cheer on their favorite team!

The boys went down on the field with the players to learn football drills.

The girls stayed in the stadium soaking up the sunshine!

Growing Fast

Jellybean is 6 months old today!

She is growing up so fast! She definitely has a little firecracker personality! It has been so fun to see her learn new things. She absolutely hates rice cereal and cream of wheat, she is in mostly 9 month clothing, she loves music, and she loves to hear herself scream! I'm not sure how much she weighs but I'm guessing around 17 lbs.

We love her so much!!

1. Were you married at the time? Yes, for almost a year
2. What were your reactions when you found out you were first pregnant? I was so excited! We had just started trying.
3. How old were you? 23
4. How did you find out you were pregnant? pregnancy test
5. Who did you tell first? I told Christian first! He was waiting outside the door for the results. I told Alice next... She was on the phone with me while I was taking the test. :) I was not going to tell her just yet but I could not believe my eyes!
6. Did you want to find out the sex? Absolutely! I wanted to have everything ready. Besides how can you shop when you don't know what your having?
7. Due date? October
8. Did you deliver early or late? Right on time! My Dr. started me on my due date.
9. Did you have morning sickness? I never felt sick one day. I had a very easy pregnancy.
10. What did you crave? Crunchy ice and pickles. I ate a ton of candy also
11. Who irritated you the most? Probably Christian... Poor guy! I didn't want to be touched because I was always hot.
12. What was your first child's sex? Girl
13. How many pounds did you gain throughout the pregnancy? I think I gained 38 lbs
14. Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Everything went great
15. Where did you deliver?
16. How many hours were you in labor? 10 hours
17. Who drove you to the hospital? I went to my Dr. app on my due date alone. I had severe anxiety because I didn't know if I was dilated enough to have her that day or if my Dr. was just going to send me home and tell me to come back next week. Either way I was freaked out! I was so done being pregnant! My blood pressure was so high from the anxiety she had me meet her up at the hospital 2 hours later. Luckily Christian hurried home from work and drove us up there.
18. Who watched? Christian
19. Was it natural or c- section? I only dilated to a 4.5. The babies heart rate kept dropping lower and lower so they ended up taking the baby c- section.
20. Did you take medication to ease the pain? I had an epidural
21. How much did your child weigh? She weighed 7 lbs
22. Did your child have any complications? No. I was very lucky to have a healthy baby
23. What did you name him/her? Jellybean :)
24. How old is your first born today? She is 6 months

This is the first time I got to hold her. She melted my heart!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTIAN!!!

Christian turned 31 years old today! Can you believe it? He worked both jobs today so we didn't get to do anything to celebrate. Earlier this week we had a combined party at my house for him and my sister Andrea.

We made Yaki-Soba...

and cheesecake with fresh strawberries! Yummy!

They opened their presents together. We got Andrea a gift card to the spa and to Sephora, and Christian got a gift card to Sportsman's and to get some new shoes that he wants. He picked out new patio furniture set from me. I can't wait to hang out on our deck!
